Michael proposed on July 21st, 2020. Our two friends Samantha and Josh suggested we go for a hike. On the day of the proposal, it was extremely hot outside! I was surprised Mike still wanted to go for a hike. We went for a hike at the Popolopen Trail which over looks the Hudson River. Samantha, Josh, and Mike were walking so quickly up the trail. I could barely keep up! Obviously, they were all anxious to get to the top and I was still clueless. Finally at the top of the mountain we were all taking in the gorgeous view and decided to take some pictures. When Samantha was about to take a picture of Mike and I she said, "Okay on 3 do something crazy."

As she is counting to 3 for some reason I said, "I have nothing crazy to do" and Mike replied back by saying, "Well, I do!" This is when he got down on one knee and proposed! I honestly think I blacked out during this moment, because I don't even remember saying yes, but of course I did! It was a perfect moment and Samantha topped it off by taking out champagne and glasses from her backpack to celebrate. I was still shaking as we hiked back down the mountain. After the hike, we celebrated with our families at Mike's parents house. It was an amazing day that I will never forget. I was completely surprised and Michael, our family, and friends made the day so perfect!
